The Fruits Basket manga received a 26-episode anime adaptation in 2001. After Tokyopop ceased publication, the Collector's Edition series was re-licensed in North America by Yen Press. The manga series was licensed in English in North America and the United Kingdom by Tokyopop. It is to extend to twelve volumes in total.
On September 4th, 2015, the first two volumes of Fruits Basket: Collector's Edition ( 愛蔵版 フルーツバスケット, Fruits Basket: Collector's Edition) were released in Japan under the Hana to Yume Comics Special imprint. It is compiled into a total of 23 tankōbon volumes.
It was serialized in the semi-monthly Japanese magazine Hana to Yume, published by Hakusensha, from 1999 to 2006. Fruits Basket ( フルーツバスケット, Furūtsu Basuketto) sometimes abbreviated Furuba or Fruba (フルバ), is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya.
